Very disappointing experience due to poor coordination and lack of guest supportWe stayed at The Lalit Temple View, Khajuraho from 3–5 December 2025. While the staff was generally courteous and the food was good, a serious incident on the evening of 4 December completely overshadowed our stay.After a long day visiting Khajuraho Temples and Panna Tiger Reserve, our vehicle was stopped far from the hotel entrance by police. We were informed that because the Chief Justice of India was staying at the property, no vehicles were allowed inside. Shockingly, the hotel had given us no prior intimation about any such restrictions.We were asked to either walk back with luggage or wait indefinitely—despite traveling with two senior citizens and a 4-year-old child. When we contacted the hotel, the staff offered no real assistance, citing “district administration” and taking no responsibility.Later, even after the hotel assured us they would inform us when the road reopened, there was no communication for nearly two hours. Eventually, we were stopped again at the barricade and, with no support from the hotel, had to walk to the property carrying luggage, exhausted and uncomfortable.What was most disappointing was that on reaching the reception, there was no acknowledgment, apology, or effort to address the inconvenience. The issue was simply brushed off as something that had “never happened before.”For a hotel of this reputation, the lack of advance communication, on-ground assistance (such as a golf cart or escort), timely updates, and basic empathy was unacceptable. The experience caused significant physical and mental discomfort to my family.Overall, despite good food and polite staff, the poor handling of a predictable VVIP situation and complete absence of guest care make this stay very disappointing. I would advise future guests to be cautious, especially if traveling with elderly family members or children.

Exceptionally good breakfast! Specially Bhagwat Agnihotri was very humble and he took care of us very well. We are very impressed. Mr Singh (Cheff) made excellent food. One of the beat cooks!!We will visit again! Thanks!

Bathrooms needs little bit more updates.

Good breakfast, nice spread of breads and fruits. Very friendly and efficient staff

The grounds and breakfast were the only redeeming features of this property. Cleanliness was very good. Staff over eager to please - a brand like LaLit should get the balance right. Bath gel and Body lotion was abundant and very good.

So far we have travelled for 35 days out of town and have stayed in 6 local and interational brand hotels along the way. The LaLit by far was the biggest disspointment. The in room TV required susbscriptions to watch anything of note. The promised high speed WIFi was all of 7 Mbps and higher speed internet was at an additional cost in a country that has very affordable and high speed internet access! Terrible beds. Ridiculously overpriced dining. The bar pricing was as expensive as most good hotels in the West. Thank God the beer was reasonably priced.

At Lalit Temple View, we were treated extremely well - from welcome to departure. The staff really was very friendly and helpful. They took care of all our needs including helping us try new local dishes.Ravindra at the door was phenomenal, always smiling, always willing to help.All the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

I chose your hotel based on its reputation and expected a higher standard of comfort and service. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to improve the guest experience.

Unfortunately, I feel that the room charge did not reflect the value provided. The quality and amenities offered were below my expectations considering the price paid.

The location is great - very close to the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful.

The booking.com reservation indicated 15% off food/drink in the "included extras". However the hotel did not honor this and did not give us the discount.

The breakfast was not fantastic. They should say you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the rooms on the 1st floor.

Everything and in particular the friendliness of the staff and service. The dinner and breakfast I had were absolutely outstanding! Please let the chef know. In particular the cappuccino Mushroom soup and the Lamb/Mutton Bryan in the clay put were super, super excellent. Thanks it’s a recommend.

The open areas were maintained well. That is the only saving grace for the Hotel.

Rooms and bathrooms are old and need immediate renovation. The amount which is being charged does not justify the service. Variety in menu of breakfast is needed. Bakery items were not fresh.

The gardens were beautiful. Such a shame that the hotel doesnt make more of them. They are tucked away.The staff are very attentive. They couldn’t do enough to help us.Lovely pool.

It wasn’t value for money. We felt it was over priced for what it was. Hotels of this cost should offer superior hotel interiors and better customer service. The rooms were off rather drab corridors. Once inside the rooms, they were pleasant. We always had to go and get a pool towel.We ordered one soft drink at the hotel which was very aggressively priced. A 10% service fee was also added. This is very unusual in India. The hotels pricing for the rooms & extras is very high. We have stayed at a Taj hotel or equivalent hotels for less!

Staff incredibly kind and nice. Pleasant to speak with them and really helpful in providing suggestion and additional service. Our driver Santosh was super nice and kind. Room was clean and comfortable exactly like in the picture. Restaurant also highly recommended. Also the swimming pool looked nice but unfortunately we haven’t had the chance to used it due to rain

The staff is extremely hospitable.

My room was garden view. The furniture and toilet fixtures seemed very old. I felt like I was staying in a room in 2000. The food at the panna restaurant was good however the buffet was not worth it.

Breakfast was nice and location was reachable to all the attractions. Staff was friendly specially the gate man Mr. Ravinder and the cleaning lady Mrs. Geeta and also the reception person Mr. Amit and driver Ram Swaroop. Special thanks to them.
